Apartment #1, First Floor 26 Market.
This picturesque Federalist apartment was once the entire first of the original home. Walk into a large eat-in kitchen with exposed overhead beams. The sute features an original bedroom fireplace. In the hallway between the spacious living room and large bedroom can be found the old warming oven of a long gone era. Bath with shower. In-season rate: $209.
Apartment #2, Second Floor 26 Market
This special suite has large eat-in kitchen, large living room and bedroom. Among many special features: fireplaces in both living room and bedroom, large bath with tub and shower, deck opening off the kitchen. In-season rate: $219
Apartment #3, Third Floor 22 Market
This is cozy two-room studio has a kitchen area, living room and separate bedroom. It has exposed ceiling beams, corner posts, wide pine floors and skylights. The space may remind you of a Paris apartment! In season rate: $189.
Apartment #5, First Floor 22 Market Street
This very lovely aparment is the crown jewel of the Market Street Inn. With three large rooms and a beautiful garden room looking out at a patio this suite is special. Furnished with period antiques and Persian rugs. Guests will find this unit irrestible. The unit comes with full kitchen and outdoor dining area. Many of the original feautres of the house are on display--Rutherford fireplace, very wide pine floors and wanescotting. Pullout sofa is available for extra guests. In season rate is $259.
ROOMS
In addition to the apartments, we offer four guest rooms at 22 Market Street. The four rooms are furnished in the traditional style of an antique house, in this case a colonial era home likely built by a shipwright. The rooms feature queen beds and one double, plus amenities such as a coffee maker, microwave, usb outlets, A/C, cable TV and wifi. The first two rooms have bath with shower.
Room #1 Sheridan
This is a lovely big room with lots of light. The room features a queen-size bed, cable, wifi, coffee maker and complimentary coffees, teas, hot chocolate. The furnishings include a loveseat for relaxing. The room is furnished with country cottage pine furniture complimented with nautical prints on the walls. In season rate: $155.
Room #2, Pineapple
Our least expensive room, this is one of four original bedrooms in the home. It has corner posts, wide pine floors and original windows. Roomy and cozy. The room features a full-size bed, cable, wifi, complimentary coffees, teas, hot chocolate. Private floor, private bath adjacent to bedroom. Enter bath from hallway. In season rate: $155.
Room #4, Riverview Suite
This lovely large room is part of the two-room suite that must be rented together. This room has natural light on two sides. From the windows you may see the Windward Boatyard and beyond the boatyard the Merrimac River. Wide pine floors are complimented by country cottage style pine furniture. The room features a queen-size bed, cable, wifi and complimentary coffees, teas, hot chocolate.
The suite includes a large bath with tub and shower. Bath includes washer/dryer. In season rate: $239.
This lovely room features an original Colonial fireplace. It also has the special feature of a deck opening from French doors to the right of the bed. The wide pine floors and country cottage style pine furniture set off the room. The room features a queen-size bed, cable, wifi and complimentary coffees, teas, hot chocolate.
